APRON: Zeeuwse klederdracht

This apron is inspired by a historical apron that was part of a costume worn by dutch women in the 18th century. The costume I chose is from the province Zeeland, in the south of the Netherlands. ​The costume has a lot of symbolic and cultural layers.

To create a contemporary look, I took aspects from both the women's costume and the male one, thinking about what contrast i could create with showing skin, comfort and colour  from the original costume.
